All About This Position
Precision Engineering is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Surveying Crew Member. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in conducting various surveys, including boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys. You will also have the opportunity to assist with construction staking and site layout surveys, helping to identify proposed locations for new structures.

Responsibilities:
- Work alongside experienced field crews to conduct surveys accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in setting up and operating surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
- Participate in field data collection, including measurements, data recording, and documentation.
- Support the crew chief and other team members in conducting surveys and maintaining surveying equipment.
- Follow established surveying procedures and safety guidelines to ensure reliable and accurate results.
- Collaborate with the team to resolve any survey-related challenges or obstacles encountered in the field.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers to provide regular progress updates.
- Contribute to the preparation of survey reports, field notes, and data files.

Requirements:
- A strong passion for learning and developing skills in the field of surveying and construction staking.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel to different project sites as required.
- Ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions, including adverse weather and uneven terrain.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately record measurements and data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug test.
